What a week for S.U.P in Cornwall...

What a contrasting week we have had here at Get on Board SUP...

Luke entered the Watergate Bay 'Legend of the Bay' competition over the weekend, and although Cornwall delivered some thumping surf, the winter of super early morning SUP surf sessions have really paid off, with Luke managing to progress through his first round and into the quarter finals. Sadly as the conditions worsened, he was knocked out, but really enjoyed the chance to meet some of the UK's top SUP surfers and put himself against them. Despite being knocked out, he can take heart in the fact that 2 guys he beat in round 1, were in the final. Although watching from the shore as they paddled out in well overhead conditions and thumping closeouts, I don't think he would have traded places with them!!! Congratulations to our friend Dom Moore from Surf Sanctuary in Newquay on the win!

Monday, and Cornwall delivered the flipside of what makes it one of the UK's best SUP destinations... Luke was down in St. Mawes Harbour on the Roseland for what will hopefully be the first of many taster sessions. Despite the slightly frigid water temperature, the conditions were fantastic, with Place Pool like a mill pond; the perfect place to develop and consolidate SUP skills...

The North coast continues to deliver some winter quality swell and offshore winds, and we're already booked up for the weekend for a paddle and pint tour, so things are really starting with a bang... If you're thinking of giving SUP a go this year, then please contact us... We have just taken delivery of our new Red Paddle co inflatables, and our trailer is racked, rolling and ready to go...

Our paddle nights have started, and we are are ready to be booked for tasters, tours and kids sessions...give us a shout and Get on Board!!!

Happy paddling!
