arding St.Mawes Cornwall SUP

In 2008 I started SUP in small waves and on flat water and didn't really think much more of Stand up paddling in waves than a 'small wave tool'. However, in March 2014, after breaking my favourite longboard, I decided I would give SUP surfing another go. Since then I've been hooked, and on the scout for a good all round performing SUP surf board. I found there was very little out there in the way of unbiased reviews so as I started trying a few boards out I thought I would make some notes here!

I would say I'm a good recreational wave paddler, and of reasonable surf fitness. I'm 12.5 stone and 5'8" tall. Generally wave board trials have been on the beach breaks on the North Cornish coast, and flat water paddle sessions on the estuaries of the south Cornish rivers and creeks, with the odd down wind run!

Over the last couple of years we've been lucky enough to try out a wide array of boards.

Mainly wave and all round boards, but some touring kit as well. Below are some reviews, with more to follow.

If these are in anyway helpful to you then please Like us on facebook.

We are a mobile paddle board school in mid Cornwall, and although not retailers, often have our personal kit for sale, but also have excellent links with some top class shops in Cornwall as well as further afield. We are always happy to give impartial advice on buying (or selling) kit.

Happy SUPing!!!
